The Mushroom Umbrella Makers

16:9 video, 10 seconds. Inside a hollow-log workshop, tiny craftsmen build umbrellas from mushroom caps — and one mouse is about to buy the finest of the batch.

0-3s: The camera pushes into the lamplit workshop carved inside a fallen log. At one bench, a craftsman with a thimble for a stool turns a mushroom cap in his paws, testing its curve; at another, twig handles are sanded smooth on a miniature lathe. Shelves hold caps sorted by size — russet, cream, spotted — each labeled in tiny script on bark tags.
3-7s: The camera follows a single finished umbrella through the line: the craftsman fits its twig handle with a practiced twist, then brushes the cap with melted beeswax until it shines waterproof. He folds and unfolds it twice, checking the ribs of bent grass, and stamps the handle with a burnt-wood maker's mark. The finished umbrella goes into a folded paper wrapper.
7-10s: A mouse customer in a waistcoat pays with an acorn and tucks the umbrella under his arm. Outside the log, the first raindrops fall — and across the village green, dozens of mushroom umbrellas bloom open at once: red, cream, and speckled canopies bobbing down the lanes between the burrows.

Detail: wood-shaving floors, a kettle steaming on a walnut-shell stove, the craftsmen's aprons stitched from leaves. Camera: smooth push-in through the workshop, a tracking follow on the umbrella's journey, then a crane-up to the village reveal. Lighting: warm workshop lamplight against cool rainy daylight outside, fungal hyper-detail in the glow. Atmosphere: artisan charm — clever, cozy, and delightful. Style: miniature fantasy craft film, tactile handmade texture, warm practical light.
