Ferry Deck Gauntlet — Storm Corridor Brawl

Single-take fight short, 12 seconds, 16:9 — one unbroken Steadicam shot down a ferry's lower corridor in a North Sea storm, where a smuggler in oilskins fights five coast-guard boarders and the deck itself is a weapon. 0-3s: The shot opens rolling with the ship: the corridor tilting hard, lockers bursting open and spilling gear, seawater sloshing ankle-deep. The smuggler backs into frame in dripping oilskins — and the first two boarders rush; he times the ship's roll and hurls both men into the wall as the deck drops. 3-6s: No cut — the seasick camera rolls with the corridor as the smuggler seizes a coiled mooring rope and swings it like a flail, the heavy coil cracking across a boarder's guard and tangling a second man's legs; water sloshes past the lens. 6-9s: The last two boarders come together as a huge wave slams the hull — the whole corridor lurching sideways; the smuggler rides the roll into a shoulder charge that folds one man over a pipe, then grapples the last in the sloshing water, both of them sliding. 9-12s: He gets the final boarder's cuffs on as the ship steadies for a breath; the camera ends on the breached deck door ahead, storm light through its window — brutal, nautical, survival. Craft: subject — smuggler in oilskins; five coast-guard boarders in tactical gear; props — mooring rope, bursting lockers, sloshing seawater. Camera: seasick Steadicam rolling with the ship, water past the lens; 35mm, 24fps. Lighting: swaying overhead bulbs, grey storm light through portholes, wet steel sheen. Atmosphere: brutal, nautical, survival — the sea fighting for both sides. Style: maritime action realism, rolling-camera vertigo, cold grey-green grade, heavy grain.
