The Cruise Ship Shuffle — Seasick Salsa Dancing

16:9 video, 10 seconds. A cruise ship lido deck at sunset, salsa music playing, the horizon visibly tilting — a dance class at the mercy of the sea.

0-3s: Instructor Carlos, white shirt and rolled sleeves, leads a class of tourists through the basic step on the lido deck, the sun low and gold behind him. Newlyweds Jake and Amy attempt a turn together — and the ship rolls, sliding them four feet sideways in perfect unison, still somehow in step. The class laughs; Carlos counts louder.
3-7s: Carlos dips Amy just as a wave hits. She goes fully horizontal, he holds on with both arms, and the class erupts — the accidental advanced move, frozen in slow motion as ocean spray arcs behind them and her hair flies. Carlos grins mid-dip, refusing to let the sea ruin the choreography.
7-10s: Jake turns green mid-spin, claps a hand over his mouth, and sprints for the railing. Without missing a beat, Amy finishes the routine solo with Carlos, ending in a pose as the class gives a standing ovation — and Carlos presents her a trophy made of pool noodles. Jake gives a weak thumbs-up from the railing.

Subjects: Carlos the unflappable instructor; Jake in a Hawaiian shirt; Amy in a coral sundress. Camera: swaying handheld matched to the ship's roll, wide deck shots for the chaos, slow motion on the accidental dip. Lighting: golden sunset, ocean spray catching the light, deck lamps flickering on. Atmosphere: romantic slapstick — love and seasickness in equal measure. Style: dance-show parody, bright holiday color, comic timing.
