Hotel Corridor Wallpaper — Infinite Hallway

An 8-second liminal horror short, 16:9, walking POV: a hotel corridor at night whose room numbers count down — into negatives that shouldn't exist. The hook: the wallpaper's pattern is faces, all turned toward the camera.
0-2s: The camera walks the corridor's length: patterned damask wallpaper, amber sconce lights, carpet swallowing footsteps. The room numbers pass: 312, 310, 308 — counting down by twos, which is wrong for this side. The wallpaper's motifs seem to shift at the edge of vision, crawling when unobserved.
2-5s: The camera passes room 300 — then 298, 296 — the numbers descending into negatives: -2, -4, -8. The sconces grow farther apart; the corridor stretches, the far end never arriving. The wallpaper here is older, water-stained — and the pattern is now clearly faces, hundreds of small printed faces, all turned toward the camera.
5-8s: A door opens ahead: room -12. Warm light spills out onto the carpet, and a voice the filmer recognizes as their own calls them by name, inviting them in. The faces on the wallpaper lean closer. The camera takes one step toward the light. Cut to black.
Craft: the corridor is the subject — damask wallpaper, sconces, swallowing carpet, the descending room numbers as the dread engine; the voice as the final lure; no actors shown. Camera: a walking POV, subtle pattern animation at the frame's edge, a lengthening perspective that never resolves. Lighting: sconce amber decaying to sickly yellow, the warm spill from room -12. Atmosphere: hospitality perverted — the hotel that wants you. Style: liminal horror, photorealistic, 24fps, 8 seconds, 16:9.
