Event Horizon — Black Hole Approach

A 12-second cosmic approach, 16:9: a ship falling toward a black hole, its accretion disk bending light into an impossible halo. The hook: the disk seen edge-on, above, and below simultaneously — lensed into a perfect Einstein ring.
0-4s: The approach: the ship falling toward the black hole, the accretion disk burning ahead — its light bent by gravity into an impossible halo, the disk seen edge-on, above, and below at once. Stars streak and smear near the shadow's edge, drawn into arcs. The camera holds the slow, inexorable fall.
4-8s: Time itself seems to slow: the disk's far side lenses into a perfect Einstein ring around the absolute black, the ring brightening as the ship falls deeper, its light smeared into a flawless circle. The ship's hull groans — tidal forces plucking at it like strings — running lights strobing against the dark, the crew silent at the viewports. The shadow grows, swallowing stars whole.
8-12s: The final approach: the ring blazing, the black absolute, the ship a mote at physics' limit. The camera holds as the light bends impossibly around the dark — terror and ecstasy at the edge of everything. End on the ring.
Craft: the black hole is the subject — the accretion disk, the Einstein ring, the absolute shadow; the ship as the tiny witness; the smeared stars as the warning. Camera: a held approach, the slow inexorable fall, no cuts. Lighting: the blinding disk against absolute black, the ring as the only geometry. Atmosphere: terror and ecstasy at physics' limit. Style: cosmic cinematography, 24fps, 12 seconds, 16:9.
