The Ash Column — Rising Alongside an Eruption Plume

16:9 video, about 14 seconds, 24fps. An erupting volcano: the ash column rises 20,000 feet, volcanic lightning flickering inside, the plume spreading at the top — apocalyptic, awesome, terrifying.

0-5s: The ash column towers — grey against the sky, boiling upward in cauliflowering surges. Volcanic lightning flickers inside the column, blue-white bolts forking through the grey, illuminating the ash from within. The plume spreads at the top, fanning into an umbrella of grey.
5-10s: The drone rises alongside the column's edge, the lightning flashing in pulses — each bolt freezing the ash's texture in stark relief. Ash begins to fall like grey snow, drifting past the lens, accumulating on the camera's edge. The column's roar is a physical pressure.
10-14s: Near the top, the plume spreads wider, the lightning slowing to occasional flickers deep inside. The drone holds parallel to the column's edge as the ash falls thicker, the world greying out — and the last frame is the column alone, towering, lit from within by one final bolt. The ash keeps falling — grey snow on a world remade. Below, the forests darken under the falling ash.

Detail: the ash's boiling texture, the lightning's blue-white forks, the falling grey snow, the plume's spreading top. Camera: a rising shot parallel to the column, the lightning as punctuation. Lighting: grey ash against the lightning's blue-white, dramatic 4K. Atmosphere: apocalyptic, awesome, terrifying — the planet exhaling. Style: volcano documentary, ash tones and lightning flashes, monumental.
