Whiteout on the Ledge — Snowy Chicago Fire-Escape Chase

Brutal cinematic action short, 9 seconds, 16:9. A blizzard whiteout over downtown Chicago: snow lashes between skyscrapers, fire escapes groan under drifts, icicles snap off ledges and shatter below. 0-3 seconds: an armored courier in a grey parka sprints across a snow-buried rooftop, boots punching through drifts, a steel briefcase chained to her wrist; behind her, two hitmen in black balaclavas swing down a fire escape, one slipping and catching the rail. 3-6 seconds: a handheld tracking shot fights the wind alongside her, snow streaking the lens, as she vaults a vent housing and slides down a drifted slope on her boots; the hitmen gain, their breath fogging, flashlight beams cutting the whiteout, one raising a suppressed pistol and firing, the muzzle flash swallowed by snow. 6-9 seconds: a locked-off wide captures her hurling herself down the fire-escape stairs, metal ringing under her boots, snow exploding off each step, as the hitmen skid to a halt at the roof edge above. Craft: the courier wears a grey armored parka, gloves, and boots, the steel briefcase chained to her wrist; the hitmen wear black balaclavas and dark tactical clothing; the rooftop has vents, a fire escape, and icicled ledges. Camera: handheld tracking fighting the wind, transitioning to a locked-off wide; high shutter freeze on snowflakes. Lighting: flat white storm light with cold blue shadows, a single orange sodium lamp glowing through the snow. Atmosphere: brutal, survivalist, freezing. Style: gritty winter realism, 35mm, desaturated palette, heavy grain, 24fps.
