The Salmon Run — Upstream Against the Falls

A 7-second 16:9 dramatic wildlife sequence: salmon leap against a thundering waterfall in the oldest marathon on earth. The scene opens on the falls, white water crashing, spray hanging in the air, salmon gathering in the churning pool below, silver bodies flashing. 0-3s: High-speed slow motion holds on the leaping fish — a salmon arcs out of the foam, body curved, droplets suspended around it like glass beads, tail driving, falling back; another launches immediately, then another, the air above the falls full of silver arcs. 3-5s: The camera cuts wide to the full falls as the leaps continue, a grizzly waiting motionless at the top, paw raised, water sheeting off its fur; one salmon finally clears the lip and vanishes into the calm upstream water. 5-7s: Slow motion returns to a single salmon mid-leap, rainbow refractions sparking in the spray around it, the fish hanging at the apex of its arc against the white water. The spray's rainbow refractions multiply as the camera cuts to a second salmon mid-leap, its scales flashing silver-green. The grizzly shifts its weight, claws scraping the rock, eyes locked on the next arc. Subject and craft: leaping salmon, thundering waterfall, spray, grizzly at the falls' top, upstream pool. Camera: high-speed slow motion on the leaping fish, cutting to a wide shot of the falls. Lighting: bright spray-lit daylight, rainbow refractions in the droplets. Mood: relentless and triumphant. Style: dramatic wildlife documentary, dynamic water detail, photorealistic.
