The Swivel Chair Grand Prix — Office Olympics

A 12-second 16:9 sports-parody spectacle: the office Swivel Chair Grand Prix, run like a real race broadcast. The scene opens on the empty office at 6 p.m., desks pushed aside, a masking-tape racetrack looped around the floor, four coworkers in office chairs at a starting line made of printer paper. 0-4s: A stapler drops as the starting gun — the chairs launch, wheels squeaking, ties flapping, sports-broadcast tracking shots chasing them; MARA takes the inside line around the water cooler, leaning hard, while DEREK spins out on a dropped banana peel from lunch, arms windmilling. 4-8s: The intern drafts behind a filing cabinet, slingshotting past on the back straight, lower-third name graphics popping up with each pass; Mara and the intern go wheel-to-wheel into the final corner by the copier, paper trays rattling. 8-12s: Photo finish at the copier — decided by a phone slow-mo replay, the freeze-frame showing Mara's wheel ahead by an inch; she hoists a stapler trophy overhead while Derek does the walk of shame past the motivational posters. Subject and craft: four coworkers in office chairs, masking-tape track, stapler starting gun and trophy, water cooler, banana peel, filing cabinet, copier finish. Camera: sports-broadcast tracking, slow-mo replay angle, lower-third graphics. Lighting: warm evening light through blinds. Mood: earnest sports parody. Style: ESPN documentary spoof, photorealistic.
