Mount Batur Sunrise — Above a Sea of Clouds

Sunrise-trek film on Mount Batur, Bali, 12 seconds, 16:9 — trekkers climb through the blue dark to the crater rim, where dawn breaks over a sea of clouds with Lombok's volcano floating on the horizon. 0-3s: Pre-dawn blue dark: headlamps of trekkers bob up the volcanic ridge in a dotted line, the camera climbing with them, breath steaming, scree crunching under boots. 3-6s: They reach the crater rim and stop — and the world opens: a sea of clouds fills the caldera below, glowing pink at its edges, and on the horizon the perfect cone of Mount Rinjani on Lombok floats like a mirage above the cloud sea. 6-9s: The sun breaches the cloud sea in a molten line and light explodes across the clouds — gold racing over the white; a guide cracks an egg into a volcanic steam vent, cooking breakfast in the earth's heat as the group cheers, camera shutters clicking. 9-12s: Wide summit tableau: trekkers silhouetted on the rim sharing the cooked eggs, steam venting from the crater, the cloud sea burning gold all the way to the horizon with Rinjani floating above it — the reward, held. Craft: subjects — the trekkers with headlamps, the guide with the egg; setting — Batur's crater rim, the cloud sea, Rinjani on the horizon, the steam vent. Camera: climbing POV with the headlamp line resolving into a wide summit reveal; 24fps. Lighting: cold blue pre-dawn melting into explosive warm gold, steam backlit. Atmosphere: triumphant, surreal, communal — the best seat on the island. Style: sunrise-trek film, dramatic warm-cool grade.
