Flambé Fiasco — The Clumsy Chef Sets Dinner on Fire (Literally)

Ten-second vertical slapstick comedy, 9:16, built for Shorts and TikTok. A cozy candlelit bistro kitchen during dinner rush: copper pans hanging overhead, flames licking under saute stations, waiters weaving between tables with trays. MARCO, a twitchy young line cook with a crooked chef hat, decides to impress table six with a tableside flambe. 0-2 seconds: beat one, Marco pours cognac into the pan with the total confidence of a man who has never done this before, winking at the camera. 2-5 seconds: beat two, the WHOOSH of blue flame leaps two feet high, singeing his eyebrows clean off; he freezes, eyes wide, as the flame licks the hanging herbs above him. 5-8 seconds: beat three, Marco spins in circles waving the flaming pan while two waiters dive behind the salad bar, plates rattling, and the maitre d' shouts in French; a second pan tips off the pass in the chaos. 8-10 seconds: final beat, the fire extinguisher discharges with a blast of white foam, coating Marco, the dessert cart, and one very dignified poodle in thick foam; Marco blinks through his foam mask and gives a thumbs-up. Craft: Marco wears a stained white jacket, a crooked toque, and an apron with a singed pocket; props include the copper flambe pan, the extinguisher, the dessert cart, and the unflappable poodle on a velvet cushion. Camera: handheld mockumentary style with quick crash zooms on each disaster, a slow-motion shot of the flame burst, ending on a deadpan locked-off frame of the foam aftermath. Lighting: warm tungsten practicals with flickering orange firelight playing across faces, foam glowing white in the highlights. Atmosphere: chaotic, farcical, big physical comedy. Style: sitcom energy, exaggerated sound-friendly visuals, punchy cuts, 30fps.
