Docking Waltz — Freighter Approach Sequence

A 12-second 16:9 orbital ballet: a scarred heavy freighter performs a slow silent waltz toward the station's docking arm. The scene opens in hard black space, Earth turning huge and blue below, the freighter ponderous and pitted, maneuvering thrusters puffing white vapor as it rotates to align with the station's glowing dock. 0-4s: The camera rides alongside the freighter's hull, scarred plating and running lights sliding past, thruster puffs blossoming and dissipating in the black, the docking arm extending ahead with its beacon strobing amber, the ship rotating with glacial grace to present its docking collar. 4-8s: The alignment tightens; magnetic clamps unfold from the arm like fingers, the freighter's rotation slowing to a perfect stop, Earth rolling blue and luminous behind the station's truss, the gap between collar and port narrowing to meters, then centimeters. 8-12s: The soft kiss of contact — a faint shudder through the hull, clamps closing with a ripple of confirmation lights shifting from amber to green, running lights sweeping green along the dock, the freighter settling into the station's embrace as Earth turns serenely below. Subject and craft: scarred freighter hull, docking collar, extending magnetic clamps, station truss and docking arm, Earth below, thruster vapor, confirmation lighting. Camera: lateral ride alongside the hull, tightening on the approach, final close hold on the contact. Lighting: hard unfiltered sunlight and absolute shadow, Earth's blue glow filling the shade, amber-to-green beacon shifts. Mood: graceful, tense, majestic. Style: hard sci-fi realism, slow deliberate motion, photorealistic.
