Clockwork Ronin — Steam Mecha Duel

A 12-second 16:9 steampunk anime short: two clockwork mechs duel with gear-blades in a Victorian factory district at dusk. The scene opens on the cobblestone square, brick chimneys behind, hissing pipes, gas lamps flickering; the two mechs of riveted brass and copper face off, exposed gears turning, steam venting from their joints. 0-4s: Dramatic low-angles emphasize the brass bulk as they engage, spinning gear-blades clashing in showers of sparks, steam bursting from their joints with every parry, the cobblestones cracking under their weight. 4-8s: Spinning shots whirl with the gear-blades as the larger mech presses, a gear flying off and rolling across the stones, bouncing; the smaller mech gives ground toward the gas lamps, its vents building pressure, gauges trembling. 8-12s: The smaller mech vents a blinding steam cloud — the square whites out — and strikes from within it, the gear-blade finding its mark, the steam clearing on the victor standing over the fallen giant. Subject and craft: two clockwork mechs in riveted brass and copper, gear-blades, exposed gears, steam vents, cobblestone square, gas lamps, factory district. Camera: dramatic low-angles, spinning shots with the blades, steam-cloud reveal. Lighting: warm gaslight against cool dusk, furnace orange from windows. Mood: inventive, clanky, charmingly retro. Style: steampunk anime, detailed brass mechanics, cel-shaded with metallic highlights.
