The Air Horn Alarm Clock — HR's Revenge

An 8-second 9:16 sequence at 24fps: After months of ignored noise complaints, HR's quietest employee snaps and wakes the office's loudest napper with an air horn. Name badges, lanyards, and HR binders appear as evidence, each labeled in the mind's eye. Office carpet tiles, ceiling grids, and water coolers compose the true-crime scene with forensic care.

0–3s: KAREN from HR, silent for six months of complaints, approaches with an air horn and the calm of a horror villain. Skateboard grip tape shows its wear, the board's history in every bald patch.

3–5s: she leans in close and BLASTS it; Derek launches upright, knocks his keyboard flying, and salutes. The air horn's blast is felt in the frame's flinch — papers lifting, coffee rippling.

5–8s: the whole floor applauds; Karen bows, files the incident report herself, and Derek finally wears the headphones. Elevator brushed steel reflects the trapped parties in warped miniature, the awkwardness multiplied.

The people are types we know: the boss, the HR rep, the skater, the witch, the wedding party. Mockumentary tools (talking-head-adjacent framings, zoom-punch reveals) structure the humor. Quieter beats shift to dappled natural shade, the everyday made gentle. The humor lands because the camera never laughs first. Camera: slow stalking buildup like a thriller, sudden smash cut on the blast, crowd reaction wide. Flat office light with a dramatic shadow on Karen's approach. Mood: cathartic justice comedy. Style: horror-buildup parody. Rendered comedy-verite cinematography, escalation editing, genre-parody grammar, 24fps motion, 9:16 framing.
